The American Forces' Spouses' Club is open to all military spouses, both active duty and retired, qualified DOD civilians, DODDS teachers and their spouses, American Red Cross, USO and Special Service personnel and their spouses, diplomatic mission and UNC officers and their spouses, and young adults in these households.

Volunteers of the Month Spotlight!

September

Phyllis Erron
Quietly efficient and artistically skilled, Phyllis Erron gives of her time and talent without hesitation. She is able to create beautiful settings wherever she goes.  With her tools of the trade—a work apron, flower shears and a pleasant disposition, Phyllis is a delightfully creative lady.  She was responsible for creating so many of the floral decorations and creative scenes at the welcome reception.  Thank you, Phyllis, for your artistic flair and your selfless spirit! 

Wendy Mora
When it comes to creativity and a sense of style, Wendy Mora could host her own TV show!  Instead, she’s content to share her wealth of talent with the community.  Those attending the welcome reception for Joanne Sharp were able to witness Wendy’s skills first hand!   Sweeping floral arrangements and artistic tablescapes were evidence of her event planning skills.  She has generously given of her talents for many welcomes and farewells and we feel fortunate to have such a skilled professional in our organization.  Thank you, Wendy!

Tamasine Wood-Creighton
Is there something Tamasine does not do?  She kept the Tennis Club playing throughout the summer regardless of rain, visitors and vacations.  She reserved the court 24 hours in advance and cleaned the court as needed before the match.  Tamasine was also a great help for the AFSC Hospitality Chair.  She drove to the store and helped load the Korean tiles, that each AFSC member received when they joined the organization.  Thank you, Tamasine!

      

Yongsan Community Expo!

AFSC will host a Community Expo at the Dragon Hill Lodge.

Community members are invited to visit the Dragon Hill Lodge from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm on 28 August to learn about the organizations and activities in Yongsan.

This is an opportunity for area organizations to display information and offer sign-ups for activities. 

Organizations can Download the application to sign-up for a table.  Applications are due on
31 July 2008.
